The short form instructions are: 1)remove the hydraulic pump and clutch shaft 2) remove the front main shaft bearing retainer and the main drive gear 3) remove the rear main shaft bearing retainer and the main shaft .... The counter shaft is more of the same, then you can get the reverse idler shaft out. It is all pretty simple mechanical stuff, the pump is heavy.

With the parts in hand, it took less than a day to replace all the bearings in my gearbox. The IT manual was completely adequate to do the job. Doing it again, I would take the opportunity to check with Binder Books for a transmission manual (I already have a parts book).
