Wow that is bad. You would have to be filling up your intake manifold completely with gas to get it into the crank case! When you blew through the inlet on the carb was the carb assembled? If not try it assembled to make sure the float isn't sticking on the side of the bowl. Just blow with it rightside up and then try it with the carb upside down. That inverted position should set the needle and stop the air. If not the float may be sticking or possibly the needle fell out during assembly. Nothing ruins the value of a Regular as fast as converting to F20 carb and it will cost you to do it.
