super M live hydraulics

My super M has the hydraulic pum in front of the distributer and the resovoir under the fuel tank. It has two cylinders on it, one on each axle, and I don't really see a need for them but I do have a need for remote hookups. Has anyone done this before? All of my drawbar hitched equipment has it's own cylinder and I need to be able to operate them with this tractor. Also, I'm restoring this tractor and I've never run it yet but how does that lever on the right side of the resovoir operate? Is it either gonna be up or down all the wway as it seems to me or can you just move the cylinders a little bit with it? The way it is you can pull it all the way back and latch it or let it all the wway forward and that's it.
Sorry if this is such a dumb question. This is my first super M ever to work on.
