To add a bit to Bob's comments. If you operate a one way cylinder you can use the lift all. I would pick up an operator's manuel a it describes the use well. It can lift or lower the cylinder a small amount at a time but only a single acting cylinder. You can also use a regular hydraulic valve, open center, plumbed into system in lieu of the christmas tree valve.
