I have heard of TA eliminator kits, but have never installed one myself. As for the losing live PTO, I don"t think that is correct because the power for the pto is driven by a shaft inside of a hollowed out transmission shaft. This inside shaft is driven by the constant mesh gear if memory serves me correctly. Therefore, removing the TA shouldn"t effect it. As for the money, I don"t know how much it costs. Why not just leave the TA in the setting that works instead of removing it? Or else rebuild the TA even though it isn"t necessarily cheap. It seems like a waste of money to me to spend money to remove one of the nice features of the tractor. Or is there something very seriously wrong with the TA that you can"t understand how or afford to fix?
