Not all types or brands of rotary mower require the same power. We have a 7-ft pull type A-C that takes less power to run than either of our two 6-ft 3-pt ones(one a genuine Bush Hog brand; the other an International- not IH). The Bush Hog is for sale for $500 but it won't help you since it is in s.w. Pa. ! Seems the one big 7-ft blade once reved up cuts better & with a lot less power needed; but you better stand back.
