Joe, you probably want to post on the pulling section. I post there often and will answer your question though. I would look at a 15.5x38 before a 14.9x38. The 14.9 has a larger circumference than the 15.5. Titan makes a good tire and so does Firestone. Firestoneag.com has sizes, weights of the different plies and the different measurements of their tires. Now, when you mention, "more lugs," do you mean bars on the tire? If thats the question, just look at what the people in the hook magazine are running. The big time pullers are running 23 degee bars mostly except for the really cut tires.
