Here's the deal, Captn' and I think we are just pretty darned clever and have figured out this "Clamp/Wedge wheel lock thing. There has to be a "torque stress threshhold" thing going on. You never see big tractors equipped with 16.9 tires equipped with the wedges, they always have the clamps. On the other hand, the higher powered tractors with 18.4s seem to have came with the wedges. Likewise, the smaller tractors like the 686s came with 18.4 tires, but are again down to the clamp style wheels. Less horsepower/axle stress. Ya think? Allan
