a good running diesel will do that. as long as it is gray. the diesel needs time to warm up and get to opperating temp. the exhaust will warm to 400 degrees before the smoke is gone. a tank or block heater will help that in the cold and run #2 fuel as long as you can before winter( saves wear and tear on the vavles))......
