Saw a Farmall H that was is decent shape, had rusty rims and the tires were fair, but weather checked some. They couldn't get it to run, said the engine wouldn't turn over, didn't know what was wrong with it maybe the starter had locked up or it had become seized, didn't know for sure other than it did run when it was parked and the auctioneer didn't say how long ago that was. Tractor was grease covered and still had it's original work clothes on. Appeared to be low houred due to tight steering and no slop in gearshift, it did come with cultivators, but the hydrolic cylinders had been sold off seperate as odds and ends because the auctioneer didn't know they went to it. The cultivators were in a shed and half buried in the dirt and would have to wait until spring to be able to get them out. Tractor wan't perfect and needed some TLC brought $1,600!. white 6085 4wd 2,500hrs with 4 post ROPS sold for either $13,000 or $13,500, local Agco dealer says it was only worth about $12,000. Wooden rack hay wagons for $1,200 and $1,000 each. 1 Steel haywagon that looked like a brand new one brought $2,800. 1983 or 1985 Chevy s10 pickup 2wd and all beat up, 2 flat tires, and didn't run sold for $375. 1 almost brand new steel Gehl chopper wagon that unloads in the front, and I also think it dumped too brought $7,200. JD 7200 4 row corn planter that looked almost new brought something to the tune of $5,000 An older 5'x10' off road dump cart brought $2,200, and still had half a load of manure in it. a new holland 135 manure spreader brought $1,600 an old lightweight 10' Massey Fergueson set of transport harrows that looked like they might be good, but were froze in the ground and the auctioner announced it would have to be left until spring along with several sets of plows to avoid damage, Those brought $800. An Oliver 4 14" bottom set of plows brought $400 IH set of 4 14" bottoms that I can't remember the model of, but 720 rings a bell, those sold for $475. I froze my butt off for nothing.

Pitfalls of Tractor Engine Rebuilds - by Chris Pratt. The first pop after you have put the machine together with your own hands is exciting and pleasing. The whole experience can be marred if one moves too fast and makes too many assumptions that they can just use "as is" some parts they should be closely scrutinizing and possibly attended to. In such cases, rework makes what could have been a fun project turn into an irritant or even a nightmare. Minor Irritants To give you an example of an minor but irritating proble
