I have many hours on an H with that type plow. The reason you can pull in 3rd is that the ground is hard and it won't penetrate very deep. When a little wetter and about 6-8 inches deep, full throttle 2nd is all your H will want. Disk plows do make the 2 plow H into a 3 plow though, less draft due to the rotation of the disks, I suppose. Occasionally it will pull in 3rd, but not if depth is your objective.
