What do you mean by "beware or the two-stage clutch"? I have a diesel 424 with the 2-stage clutch, which I've used heavily over the years with a rotary cutter. The clutch has never given any trouble. Are you saying that there's a problem I should be aware of? A 424 is nearly the same physical size as an "N" series Ford, and is much more modern, and has almost twice the HP. The old Fords often sell in the $1500.00 to $2500.00 range. Why do you figure a 424 is worth so little?
