Around here a good 656 gas with factory 3-pt, wide front & good TA,etc have held their value and/or gained in value steadily over the years. Going rate for a good one $5500- $5700. They happen to be a handy gaser that are kind of easy on gas since they only rev 1800 rpm. Nebraska test on them back then had a 656 gas yielding about the same hp/hours per gallon as a 3020 Diesel. Gas engine (263) although more modern than an M (264) about same cu in. A lot more smooth hp from less gas than an M.
