Hugh, I don"t know if the 66 series is any better than the 56 series, probably not, but I find them easier to operate, and certainly easier to get in and out of the cabs. We, (I use the term loosly) have 2 966"s and a 1456, and power notwithstanding, I prefer the 966 because of the control placements and the way it handles. We also have a 786 open station, and nobody wants to get within miles of that tractor. The only thing it ever gets used for is knifing nitrogen on corn. Its the clumbsiest IH I ever operated.
