A little bead blasting,a little work/new parts,a little paint and there it is! Seeing as how these carbs are made of steel and not zinc, there was scaly rust developing in the bowl. The only way to clean that out is to blast it out! I also noticed the float pin was way loose...somebody opened up one of the holes where the pin slides thru on the carb and the thing was slippin and sliding all over the place.I squeezed that hole down and now the pin is secure, that probably would have made a difference by itself. The needle seat sealing ring was as dry as a bone and it broke apart when trying to remove it,and the previous knucklehead ripped out the screen from the fuel inlet.Thankfully I bought a new CNH/C-IH one months ago.The throttle shaft seemed a little sloppy as well. The kit came with a new one.
