Glad I read this first! Bought the bushings a couple weeks back and today replaced them. It is a bugger! I got them in using the putty knife method, but had to cuss a whole lot to get it to work. Finished up by thoroughly crossthreading one of the bolts, but kept tightening it until it got against the lock washers -- it was a race to break it or bottom it.

Figure I will never need to do this again, so, who cares?
