Don't be afraid to weld the block ... just another weld . But it might be smart to use a Henrod welder if you can get your hands on one. Bought one a couple of years ago and it is amazing what you can weld with these gas welder and how much easier it is to well cast with gas reather than an arc welder. IF you are going to weld with an arc welder though just weld s-l-o-w seem to be the problem with most folks welding cast!! heat and time. As someone told ya heat her up good and weld a short spot like no more than one inch at a time unless you are good with a welder than go at it you can weld the entire block if you are GOOD !!!!!!!
