Proper break in of a new engine will take over 100 hours. My H has about 150 hours since overhaul and has just recently stopped burning a little bit of oil.

If you have no plow or implement, road gear is good for break in. Some hills or just going from 1/2 to full throttle can be enough of a pull.

Dyno time or pulling would be great though. I pulled the snot out of mine after about 2 hours puttering around the yard, hooked up a disc and ran it hard for about 20 hours on the hourmeter...
