To all of you that replied about a week or so ago about my M having trouble starting, thank you. I eventually determined that it was the post inside the starter that came disconnected like magman said, but that was just half the problem as some of you may remember. The thing had a problem with only running for a few minues so I ended up getting another starter but I haven't put it on yet and rebuilding the carburetor. It was leaking and the float was sticking. That is taken care of now and I also have decided to junk the solenoid/key ignition and go with the old style switch. Within the next couple of days I hope to have the whole thing rewired and fired up. I also am going to put a new fuel line on as the old one is not in the best shape. Things to get it running so far include. New points New condensor New distrubter cap New sparkplugs ( I never did get new wires, although I probably should) New resistor New battery New battery cables New starter New starter foot switch New carb parts New wiring New fuel line I know it will all be worth it when the M is ready to play again.
