I had the same experience as MN Charlie. Not only was the bottom warped, and gasket blown out, but one of the bolts had dropped out (and was in the bottom of the pan). I trued up the bottom the best I could on a flat piece of steel with sandpaper on top, and checked end clearance with plastigage. I needed two of the thin paper gaskets to get the right clearance. Now the oil pressure is much better. Good luck, Bill
