the wedge doesn't have a thing to do with fixing the shimmy of worn bushings. it makes the tractor steer easier. it makes your m steering the same caster as the super m's. my introductory super m general sales bulletin says that the caster has been deceased from 1 1/2" to 7/8". this change reduces the effort required to turn the front wheels yet retains sufficient caster to induce "self recovery"after the turn is completed.
