Really nice parts on eBay

I recently saw some really nice parts sell on eBay that looked like they were pulled off a fully restored tractor. I hope someone is not selling parts from a stolen tractor. The seller stated the parts are off a tractor they are parting out, so what could be so bad that it would be better to scrap it than fix what went wrong? Who would sell a fully restored tractor to a scrap yard knowing it would be parted? All the parts were nicely painted and shiny. I just really don't like it when people scrap good tractors for a quick buck.
