John, I keep extra parts on hand and I often clean them up, prime and paint them when I am painting other items. If someone I know needs something I have they will be getting the painted version. I hate to see tractors parted out too but we had a discussion here some months ago and those parted out tractors keep several other tractors going because someone always needs parts. I get the "Western Ontario Farmer" and there are several ads in there each week from the established tractor wreckers announcing what tractors they have gotten in to part out, some not that old, but as Cowman says there is more money in parts than in the total tractor. I was interested in a tractor sitting at a wreckers but he wouldn't put a price on it( we both knew full well the price would be ridiculous because what it is worth in parts prices it out of the market as a tractor.) Maybe it makes our tractors more valuable in the vicious circle of antique and special interest tractors. Mike in Exeter Ontario
