electrial problem on 986

on our 986 we can not get the radio and air and heat to work because of no current up there. the light up there work and also thr flashers. We put a new switch in and it did not help. When we put current direct from batteries to air and radio it works but not with the wire from the start switch. Where would the cuprit me at? thanks
