Repairing hole in tin in lightbar toolbox?

Well, I went crazy and bought a lightbar toolbox on ebay for $50. It's not in very good shape but it looks like I should be able to just cut out the bottom and replace it. Other than the bottom there are no holes in it and all the brackets and everything are in good shape. Here is a pic of the bottom: 
Well, I bought it on ebay and for some reason the guy sent an extra toolbox with it! On the outside of the box he just wrote "Bonus! You get 2!". The "Bonus" toolbox is in better shape overall but has 2 dime sized hoes that have rusted out in the front of the toolbox. I'm not looking for the perfect restoration so I was wondering how I would go about repairing the holes and just using that one? What should I do with the extra toolbox? Any advice?
