Well one thing for sure it won't fix it's self and in time it will get worse and yea i know someone is going to say mine has been that way for years and it is fine but what happens if the tractor is parked on a hill and that tooth that it is engauged is almost broke thru and it breaks and the tractor runs off and runs over some littel kid or across the road and hit a car or runs over you . I had one jump out of park on me and that will wake you up now if i get one that has not been changed over to the spring loaded one it gets it and if i have a clicker then it gets fixed . There are enough people that get hurt on tractors every year because of this or that so why add to the list.
