Hi Keven I amnot an exspert with F4s but maybe I can help I beleve there pretty much the same as the H4s and others. are you cranking this off the tractor or on? I beleve they usally kick out at around 375 Rpms or simelar. What happens alot is the little peg that the trip finger rides on gets worn out and and the pawl also and lets it just slip by the peg. OR maybe the lock came off and the spring and washer if there the same as H4 I had one I tore apart today that did the same The little cotter lock came off alowing the spring and washer to take off into no where land and the pawl was just sitting in there not doing its job and rubbing on the bottom of the mount. Or the Pawl could be worn . Alittle weld on the tip sometimes can fix that. OR maybe the Pin that the pawl hits on. Usally they only wear out when the person runs them at to low of a RPM and the trip doesnt kick out and it wears out the pin. You can take it out and rotate it for that problem. Hope Maybe Some Of This Helps MagMan
