Just wanted to say thank you to all you guys that reponded on this, giving me advice, support, etc. Marg. advises that with exception of that bit of chasing around the house idea, it was all quite sound advice. Thank you also to guys that sent personal e mails. Been quite busy past couple of days. Doctor gave his blessing for me to go back to part time trucking job. My employer was quite happy as he had been using employment agency drivers that just didn't know our routes and routine. Been holding the the blood sugar in the 6 to 8 range all week. I seem to be over the worst of getting acustomed to diet. I think I'm actually having bigger problem increasing my water consumption, but it sure helps with that hunger issue. I can't believe how much better I feel. This winter was the worst, but I see now my blood sugar may have been in the 9 to 10 range the past 5 years. When the Doc reined me in it was at 24.5. I was quite lucky. I was quite used to low blood sugar, knew the signs to watch for. Used a blood sugar tester for about 3 months 10 years ago, don't think I ever went over 6.5 back then. My advice if your overweight, feeling like you want to sleep, but when you get there you don't sleep that well, cranky and grouchy. Just plain feeling no good. Go and have your blood sugar checked. There could be huge rewards for you. Marg. claims it has already reduced the grocery bill. My gosh, what could be better than feeling fine with a fat wallet.
