Hi Ron, That outfit at Bayard is an old timer's machinery club of some kind I think. Howard goes to it almost every year. Don't know about the one in Gering. When I was a wee lad, my dad used to get up at 2am, cut beans til 8 or 9, combine til dark and then we would haul a truckload of some 200 bushel 100 miles all the way down to that beanery at Bayard. Get back home at midnight, fuel up, grease up and start the process all over again. I always thought that it was a good thing that the long hill dropping off into the valley was downhill with the load. That old truck had to work climbing back up outta there even when it was empty. :>) Allan
