Farmall 140 Clutch

I am looking to buy a Farmall 140 from a local individual. The 140 runs great and hydraulics are fine. The only concern is the clutch, it engages almost immediately at bottom of pedal. Gears don't scrape, it just engages within 1/2" from bottom of stroke. Does this sound like something that can be adjusted or will it most likely need replacement? If so how much can I expect to spend? Thanks for any advice.
