First thing to check is that the spool valve is going all the way down to the snap ring and then all the way up . Next is to check the clutch pressure regulator spring and make a pressure test and see what you have for lock up pressure i like them at a round 265 to 285 . And if this all checks out ok then it is time for the big one . Stock lock up pressure will be down around 210 to 220 just off the top on my head, and that would be ok but i like it up a bit that way i know that they won't slip up to over 250 hp. Also check the spool for any binding it should float free in the bore. And be careful when removing it as it has spring pressure behind the plug.
