Id say, if it is your first time, have fun, and be safe. Get a feel for what the tractor is going to do on the track. Expect the unexpected, front end being too light can overturn, and thats something you never wanna see. keep the front weighted down pretty well, till you get used to it. then get a little braver and let the front off the ground a bit more as time goes by. Super M's are great low gear pullers, lots more torque over a stock M so it will have pull if the carb is right. Pu on wheelie bars and practice this sport carefully, and have a ball! With your old Farmall! let us know how you did! Got all sorts of info on how to hop it up a bit more if it needs more power,, thats a different story at the moment for your tractor and experience. Oil Bath Air Filters - by Chris Pratt. Some of us grew up thinking that an air filter was a paper thing that allowed air to pass while trapping dirt particles of a particles of a certain size. What a surprise to open up your first old tractor's air filter case and find a can that appears to be filled with the scrap metal swept from around a machine shop metal lathe. To top that off, you have a cup with oil in it ("why would you want to lubricate your carburetor?"). On closer examination (and some reading in a AC D-14 service manual), I found out that this is a pretty ingenious method of cleaning the air in the tractor's intake tract.
