560d injection pump timing

I had a governor failure and pulled my pump for overhaul. While it was out one of my grandkids entertained himself by playing with the injector pump drive gear. It is completely out of time and will not even fire. How do I get back in time without pulling the motor. This motor was rebuildt less then 500 hours ago and I hate to pull it again. I have tried going to tdc and 3 degrees but am unable to find any marks on the other gear to line up on.
