My '55 farmall 400 gas has a firly decent hyd. pump (lacking about 150 lbs. of psi), great powersteering, and three spool valves. My power steering won't work at all unless you pull a hyd. lever, then it works terrific. I was wondering, since i usually only pull with it, could i bypass the flow divider valve, and spools, and run the pressure hose from the pump to the steering system, to the reservoir, then back to the pump? Or would constant PSI be bad for the power steering?(too much PSI or GPM)
