Your compression is low. Could be stuck or worn rings and a worn cylinder. You need to double check that timing. Bring No1 piston up on compression to TDC. Mark the timing mark on the flywheel with chalk. Have someone hand crank it slowly while you hold your thumb over the plug hole. Once you feel compreession against your thumb stop cranking for a moment and look for timimg mark. Once you see the mark, slowly keep cranking until the timing mark is aligned with the indicator on the clutch housing. You need it right on the money, then remove distributor cap or mag cap and look to see where the rotor is pointing. Should be at No1 plug wire. No1 is near the radiator. Hal
