serial # ?/power steering

Just bought what was sold as a 350. Got it home and check serial #. It is a 56 300. Double checked this against the block C-164. yep definatly a 300. Question is the suffix on the serial tag is SJ. What does that stand for? Also there is an after market power steering uniton it. It is not plumbed into the existing hydrolics. It has its own resevouir and runs off the same pully as the genorater. Any body have any idea about the power steering? Thanks in Advance, Farmall43
