You probobly still have the original lever on the range cover which is under the seat. These levers wear out were it bolts onto the shaft that goes into the cover. Take the floor plate off, look under the seat, and move the shift lever from high to low and watch the lever on the range cover and you'll see what I mean. Ag Parts and Hy-Capacity have a redesigned lever and shaft for replacing the OEM lever. Anyway thats where your problem will be and its best to have somebody thats done a range cover before either do the fix or at least help you out if you've never been in one before. There's a tool for pushing the reverse shaft down while lifting the cover so the half moon key don't fall out from down below and another tool for holding the spring on tight when installing the cover so it don't fall off.
