Farmall M vs. Super M (specs)

Can anyone tell me what the ground speeds are for a Farmall M vs. a Super M? Dad told me that the Super M has a faster ground speed than the regular M's, is that true and why?? I know the Supers have larger engines and are governed faster, is that the reason or do the Supers have lower differential ratios or what?? Also, I have a line on a Super M with factory propane. How rare are these, is it collectible?? (I need it to spray with but want to fix it up nice) Thanks! OL' JR
