That"s the oil cooler. Usually when that goes bad, you end up with oil in the water, because the oil pressure is higher than the water pressure. You guys probably have cavitated sleeves, bad sleeve o-rings, or possibly a bad head gasket. You"ll need to get it to someone who can drop the oil pan and pressurize the cooling system to find the leak.
