I bought the first one of those tractors in 1960 and I have used that plow every year since then. I replaced the plow point and it's still as shiny as the day I bought it. Those tractors were away ahead of their time. All gear driven with 2 speeds forward and reverse. Had a mult-disc clutch. Even had a pto so you could install a belt pulley. I sold all of those tractors and modified the plow bracket so I could attached it to my Gilson garden tractor. I'm able to lift it with the hydraulics on the tractor. My wife and I were in Santa Clara back in the 70's I was sent there to install instrumentation on 2 new scout vehicles. One was being built by Lockheed in Sunnyvale and one by FMC in St Jose. Due to the strong unions in CA I was told I couldn't touch those vehicles. The US government had to issue contracts for the instrumentation and I got to inspect their work. We took a tour through the wine country and stopped at Santa Cruz to eat and wade in the ocean. This was when Spiro Agnew has to resign the vice presidency and they were after Nixon too. Have fun. I bet you're proud of that granddaughter. Hal Those tractors were made in MN and sold all over the US. Truck farmers used them for cultivating their crops. I see they have a forum too.
