The most compelling argument against using Champion I've heard is that someone did a comparison test on the electrodes and found Champion's to be of the softest metal. I've also heard stories from a couple of sources where folks say the put in new Champions, tractor was still running bad, then all they did was switch to another brand and that cured their problems. Per the recommendation of Mike at Steel Wheel Ranch, I'm using 3116 Autolites in my '47 H and they've been fine year round. Having said all that, my personal opinion is that they don't make that much of a difference. I don't think I'd change the heat range from original. Hey John, a while back we said we'd get together when it was warmer? Warm enough for you? Maybe we could meet at the next Zagray show.
