That brake runs in oil. I think you can change the band by removing the rear end cover. If your tractor has factory rubber it probably has the high speed transmission (10 mph). Those will be noted in your serial number with a p and a t. The p stands for pneumatic tires. Remember that tractor was designed with a 5mph top speed on steel. Brakes were something to lock it in place once you had the belt lined up. Even so my brake will slow my tractor and hold it in place so you may have to change bands.
