Doubtful. If it was a broken key, the tractor would not run because the distributor is driven off the hydraulic pump. The pump wouldn't get hot, either. If it was air in the system, the pump would not get hot. The system is plugged up somewhere along the line. That's why the pump gets hot. It's dead-headed, and just keeps thrashing on the same oil. Just moving the levers and centering them doesn't mean a valve isn't stuck. The linkage could be broken. All three valves should center with a little snap to them. If one just slides or flops around... That's your problem. There's a filter screen on the side of the hydraulic "tower" (hydra-touch unit) there under the dashboard. It's right out in the open on one side or the other. Drain the hydraulic fluid and pull that screen. Betcha its plugged with all kinds of cruft.
