Hi Allan, Sounds like a regulator problem to over charge. The military uses 6 to 8 (12 volt) batteries hooked up in series/parallel to get the 24 volts and we never had a problem with overcharging. I would check those battery cells to see what they read. Hal

PS: I hope you get some rain so you can plow. It
is so dry here I don't think I could get the plow to stay in the ground. I'm using my rinse water from the washer to water the garden.
