It is a grain binder used to bundle wheat, oats, rice etc so some poor slob can shock em! Early ones were ground driven the later ones ran off the PTO. Still had some poor SOB trotten along behind shocking though :? ) I much prefered operating the threshing machine. I had a Woods Brothers outfit and a JD powerbinder.
