Mine only had 1 gasket, and it spins pretty well.

Noticed too much (I guess) play in the shaft end (gear end) where it wore enough inside the cover on the shaft end that if you pushed a little on the other end, it would bind up a bit when spinning. I put a little metal disk in the hole on the cover to take up the slack, and it now spins real smoothly. Hope I didn't do something that will bite me later. I can't see how the metal disk could ever come out.
