The exact type of oil isn't critical. There really isn't a whole huge difference between hydraulic oil and 30 weight in this particular instance. You certainly can't hurt anything by mixing. You also won't hurt anything by overfilling. It'll just blow out through the vent in the cap. You'll have a mess, but no damage. If the loader is down, you can fill it right to the top because you'll never have more in the liftall than there is when the loader is all the way down. As far as the problem with the system not working... I am afraid that there may be something wrong with the control valve. If that's the case, it's not going anywhere anytime soon. There's no fix other than to drop the liftall unit, take it apart, figure out what's broke, and fix it. You don't mention anything about leaks... If there were a puddle of oil on the ground, you would've mentioned it, right??? RIGHT???
