Opinions on hydraulics, please (lengthy)

To add live hyd.s to a Farmall M, what do you think of a belt-driven pump as opposed to the factory live pump? I've got a catalog with a belt-driven pump for approx. $225, specs: 40.4 gpm @ 3600 rpm(max), 4000 psi(max). I think someone spec'd the factory setup to be 1200 psi, 12 gpm? Tractor duties currently are garden plowing, driveway maintenance and mowing. Accessories I plan to add to the tractor: 3 pt., Farmhand F11 and power steering (in that order). Will this belt pump run this stuff? On the 3 pt., how useful are 2-way cylinders? I see where it would be great when grading the driveway, but other than that is it useful? Anyway, thanks to you all for your time,
