ddg: I don't think this is your problem, but then one never knows they may not all act the same. Few years back my Super would stop if it hit a bump, or a sudden jolt. With my tractor there was no missing, and it would always fire right up again. Turned out to be wear in the distributor shaft. This was causing a dead short in the points. Another problem I had leading up to the distributor shaft rebuild, I went through an excessive number of rotors and caps. Seemed like no time until terminals were badly beaten in cap as well as rotor. Cap would usually have a crack as well, allowing in moisture. It's about 10 years now, and I haven't replaced a cap or rotor since. Having said this, I'd still have to go with carb problems on your tractor, having read all this discussion. I just threw in the shaft item so as not to overlook anything.
