Let me see if I can expalin this,when I was growing up our M would do the exact same thing.Dad usually didnt shut it down until he was done for the day,so the problem very rarely arose,but what it was was this,when the engine was shut down,the engine got hotter due to not having air flowing over the engine and throuigh the rad,the cap did have a crack and would be evident then,but as long as the air was flowing keeping the engine a little cooler the crack would stay closed,changed the cap and no more problem.Do I make sence?
